Or that one’s greatest dream is a cup of warm tea, a slice of bread? I’m surprised that after everything I saw in the camp, which cannot be described in words, I didn’t get crazy. Many people who survived the camp and were released have lost their minds.

December is not only a time of love, cordiality and forgiveness. December is above all a time for reflection. That is why yesterday the eight graders visited Auschwitz, a quiet place, which also leaves us silent, dark, which also reminds us of the darkness, which only we can lighten with our attitude towards other people. Let us remember this.
